Cultivating Passions & Harvesting Dreams...
Welcome to River Myst Haven, LLC, 25-acres in the heart of Sonoma County nestled in the hills just outside of Healdsburg in the beautiful Russian River Valley, among some of the best wineries in Northern California. We are relatively new to the area and consider ourselves fortunate to be here and are working to create a warm, hospitable and welcoming environment for our family, friends and visitors.
River Myst Haven, LLC is a small, family-owned operation focused on small-scale, organic gardening of vegetables, fruits and flowers; an organic vineyard for wine production; wine & food awareness and activities; and occasional events such as retreats, seminars, fundraisers and celebrations.
What’s important to us? We’re looking to make a positive difference through enduring social impact, and we work to advance this mission through our business efforts.
Why “River Myst Haven” exactly? Well, the name comes from the effect of the mist and clouds caressing the hills of the valley over the Russian River; from our perspective, it feels as if we are our own little elevated haven, watching the dynamics of nature at work as the patterns of life change with the seasons.
We have a strong and growing commitment to the land and environment here, and our vision is of sustainable, responsible stewardship and use of the land, flora and fauna (Overall there are three ecosystems on the property, and with a year-round spring there is quite a bit of fauna—including turkey, quail, deer, and coyotes,).
We are currently establishing two acres of grapes and look to form a partnership with a local winery to produce some exceptional organic wine grapes. We’re also expanding the fruits and vegetables growing on the property with a large planting planned for 2010.
People often inquire about opportunities to have events on the property, and we encourage that such questions be sent to the email above.
We’re planning for a location that is restive, restorative and regenerative and hope to host opportunities to experience this.
Most of all, the future of River Myst Haven, LLC is just beginning and still unfolding through the collective vision of family and friends, a place of great potential to make positive change in the world.
